Looking for the best cash back credit card for you?

Cash back credit cards are a great and easy way to earn extra money just by paying with your credit card.

However, determining the best cash back card for your particular spending habits can be an almost impossible task due to the complexity of most card calculations. Extra earnings for common category purchases like gas or groceries, quarterly rotating extra cash-back categories, and annual earnings limits are just a few of the obstacles card issuers throw at you.

See the great tool HERE to help you figure out exactly which cash back card is best for you.

Happy New Year!

Merry Christmas From Our Family To Yours!

Another year is fast approaching its culmination.  2014 was definitely a big transition year for our family. Here are just a handful of highlights:
  • Kayla graduated from Miami University in Oxford, OH, with a degree in International Studies and Diplomacy and another one in Latin American Studies.  Just a few weeks later, she moved to Boston, MA, where she is gainfully employed and loving life.
  • Darren was selected to the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) Officer Candidates School (OCS), which he successfully completed in November.  He is a newly minted Marine Officer and has begun his multi year training to become an aviator with the USMC.  He currently resides in Quantico, VA.
  • Victoria was awarded her post-professional Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree.  The time and energy that went into studying will now be channeled into building up her private practice.
  • Barak continued his employment with the U.S. Air Force (USAF) and currently supports several C-5M Super Galaxy modernization projects.  His business trips during the year took him to Delaware, Georgia, California, and Oklahoma.
Wishing you a most wonderful Christmas Season and a blessed 2015!

Yes, He Made It!

Victoria and I recently traveled to Quantico Virginia to participate in Darren’s United States Marine Corps (USMC) Officer Candidate School (OCS) Graduation and Commissioning Ceremony.

On Monday we attended Family Day activities and were able to spend most of the day with Darren.

Tuesday morning was the OCS Graduation.

Some of Darren’s friends from the Dayton area also attended.

Tuesday afternoon was the Commissioning Ceremony at the National Museum of the Marine Corps.

At the end of the ceremony we had the privilege of pinning his Second Lieutenant bars on him.

After the Commissioning Ceremony we headed for home and left Second Lieutenant Darren Strickland to check into The Basic School (TBS) Tuesday afternoon.

Darren plans to be home for Thanksgiving and then return to Quantico for The Basic School (TBS) which starts Monday, December 1st.
